Our Story

Two Friends Trio is an acoustic band covering a variety of songs spanning several generations.

Kevin and Jerry have been in numerous bands together over the years and lead the music ministry at church.  In 2020, Christie started singing with the guys during Prayers and Praise.  It was like they had been singing together forever.

In 2021, Kevin asked Jerry to start a new venture with him focusing on the acoustic side of music.  Their goal was to play more easy listening music.  The type of music you can have playing in the background to accent a fun relaxing atmosphere with friends and family.  Since things were going so well with Christie, they felt it natural to ask her to be part of the band.  She said yes in a heartbeat!

The trio quickly began to pick different songs to play and came up with quite a variety of music.  Jerry said, “We really want to do something different.  We want to play songs that other bands don’t play.  There are many memorable songs that you never hear any band play.”  Christie agreed, “I want to sing songs from all genres;  country, soul, pop, alternative…you name it, I love it!  I want people to hear a song, sing along and say, wow that was one of my favorite songs back in the day.”  Most cover bands stick to one type of music.  “Our band  has to span decades of music.” Kevin said, ” We are playing to young adults who were born in 2000.  I grew up listening to 1960’s music.  I am learning music I have never heard, but I really enjoy it.  That is why we can say we play music for ALL ages.  We encourage requests so we can play what you want to hear.”

Though the name may be deceiving, leaving you to ask “which two are friends?”  It all boils down to this:  A triangle has three sides.  One friend is at each point.  No matter which friend is looking at the other points, they see their two friends.
